Robert was born and raised in Vancouver, where his father taught him how to work with wood, machine metal, and how to fix cars. Growing up with a machine shop at home, he formed a deep appreciation for quality materials and hard work. This, along with a natural creativity lead him to pursue an education in design, which he completed at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. It was here that he found himself drawn to a variety of new mediums, including textiles and composite materials.
Much of Robert's work incorporates a blend of contemporary influences with heritage materials. By keeping the past in mind while he works, Robert's goal is to create new and exciting emotional experiences for clients that result in lasting memories. He is absolutely thrilled to be working with Gail to make this a reality!
